Background

Tesla Fahrer und Freunde e.V. (TFF e.V.) is a non-profit association that has been promoting electric mobility in the German-speaking region since 2014. As Germany’s largest Tesla Owners Club, it brings drivers and interested people together at meetups, drives and events. The club is officially recognized by Tesla, yet operates independently and is also open to people who drive other vehicle brands. Over the years, an active community with an extensive digital club history has grown.

Challenge

The old website was based on TYPO3 and had become increasingly cluttered over the years: an outdated design, unintuitive navigation and content that was hard to find. Much of the activity took place in a separately run forum, while the website itself offered only limited ways to present news and stories. Our task: to rethink the club’s digital presence from the ground up – without losing almost eleven years of club history.

Objective

We wanted to create a website that doesn’t just inform, but brings club life to life – with a well-thought-out structure, a fresh visual language and more space for photos, videos and stories. Members should find what they are looking for faster, while new visitors immediately get a sense of what makes TFF special. And all of this without losing sight of the club’s past.

Our club, Tesla Fahrer und Freunde e.V., needed a new website at short notice because the old one was being shut down. marketer UX delivered the complete rebuild in under two weeks: concept, web design, web development, copywriting and go-live. Ten years of club history were transferred from the old archive into new posts – carefully and with data protection in mind, for example when it came to license plates in photos.

The result is convincing on every level. The site looks premium, loads in under a second and is cleanly built for Google. Reports on our meetups are often online the very same day, including videos that only load after consent. Feedback from our members has been consistently positive, and many of them approach us about it directly.

I would especially like to thank the team for supporting our club beyond the project itself, with quick responses and thoughtful advice. If you are looking for an agency for web design, Webflow or web development, you have come to the right place.

Modern Website Redesign

The entire web presence was visually redesigned. Generous imagery, clear typography and a reduced design give the website a contemporary character. The new design makes room for the people, stories and activities of the club and combines a high-quality visual presentation with clear user guidance.

Information Architecture & News

Where much of the content used to be accessible only via the forum, there are now dedicated sections for news, posts and insights into club life. We reorganized the site structure, grouped content logically and simplified the navigation. A new editorial post structure makes it possible to present news, event reports and insights into club life directly on the website.

Content Migration & Club Archive

A website relaunch doesn’t mean leaving everything old behind. That’s why we saved earlier posts, as far as they were still available, and carried them over to the new website. A dedicated archive preserves memories, milestones and stories from almost eleven years of club life – clearly organized and still accessible.

Calendar Integration with Klubraum

To better integrate events into the web presence, we embedded the Klubraum calendar. Upcoming meetups, drives and other events can now be accessed directly via the website. The integration connects the external event management with the new web presence and makes current dates easier to find.

Video & Motion Design

Moving images play an important role in the new visual concept. We developed and produced custom video content and animations for the website, including its background video. They offer insights into the club’s activities and add an emotional, authentic layer to the design.

Privacy & Integrations

External content should enrich the user experience without compromising control over personal data. With iubenda, we set up a consent management system that controls consent for loading external content. Embedded videos, for example, only load once visitors have given their consent – transparent, easy to understand and user-friendly.

A modern web presence that puts the community at the center.

Today, TFF e.V. presents itself with a completely redesigned website that combines clear structures, up-to-date content and practical features.
